چکیده
Echocardiograms of ten patients with congestive cardiomyopathy were compared to those of three groups of patients: (1) 17 with no catheterization or angiographic evidence of cardiac disease; (2) 19 with 75% or greater obstruction of one or more coronary arteries (CAD); and (3) 8 with previous myocardial infarction and congestive heart failure (CAD-CHF). Echocardiographic values of interest included the left ventricular internal dimension at end-diastole/body surface area (LVIDd index), the amplitudes of the left septal echo (LSa) and posterior endocardial echo (ENa), LSa + ENa, and the maximum rate of rise of the posterior en-

Systolic thickening and thinning of the septum and posterior wall in patients with coronary artery disease, congestive cardiomyopathy, and atrial septal defect.
Echocardiographic septal and posterior wall thicknesses and the percent change with systole were measured in 146 patients with the following diagnoses: acute myocardial infarction (40), chronic coronary artery disease (49), congestive cardiomyopathy (8), atrial septal defect (20), and no cardiac disease (29). Mean diastolic thicknesses for the groups of patients with coronary artery disease and...
متن کاملEvaluation of strain and strain rate parameters using two-dimensional speckle-tracking echocardiography in patients with coronary artery disease (Research Article)
The study aimed was to measure left ventricular (LV) strain using speckle tracking echocardiography (STE) for assessment of LV function. Eighty-two subjects (mean age 57±9 years) with suspected chest pain underwent two-dimensional (2D)-echocardiography before coronary angiography. Conventional echocardiographic parameters were used for the assessment of LV function. Longitudinal strain and its ...
متن کاملICAM-1 Polymorphisms (G241R, K469E), in Coronary Artery Disease and Myocardial Infarction
Background: Inflammation plays a critical role in atherogenesis. The initial step in atherosclerosis is the adhesion of leukocytes to activated endothelial cells mediated by ICAM-1, an inflammatory protein. Several polymorphisms for Intracellular adhesion molecule -1(ICAM-) gene have been described. Objective: To determine the possible role of G241R and K469E polymorphisms in development of cor...
متن کاملStudy of the correlation between ACE gene polymorphism and coronary artery disease
Introduction: Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) is an exopeptidase that converts Angiotensin I to Angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is a potent vasoconstrictor and releases aldosterone, and have a critical role in hypertension. In this study, ACE insertion / deletion (I/D) polymorphism and ACE activity was determined in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) and normal subjects. The corr...
متن کاملاثر PercutaneousCoronary Intervention Elective بر بهبودی نارسایی ایسکمیک میترال
Introdution: Ischemic mitral regurgitation (IMR) remains one of the most complex and unresolved aspects of ischemic heart disease that the impact of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on improvement of intensity of ischemic mitral regurgitation is not well clarified. Patients with coronary artery diseases and ischemic mitral regurgitation have a worse prognosis than the patients with coro...
